About Nurture Strength Physical Therapy

At Nurture Strength Physical Therapy, care is personal — not rushed, and never one-size-fits-all. My name is Nikki Singleton, and I created this practice to offer something different for the Saint Clair Shores and Detroit Metro community: one-on-one physical therapy and recovery solutions designed to help you get back to doing what you love.

I attended Boston University for a combined degree, earning my Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training in 2019 and my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2021.

I have been working with people in a clinical setting since 2016 with my first athletic training clinical placement. That evolved into physical therapy clinical placements and as a certified athletic trainer in 2019, and finally as a doctor of physical therapy starting in 2021. Along the way, I got to learn from many highly qualified, multi-credentialed health care professionals that have helped shape my approach to treating people.

I have attained certification in blood flow restriction training, functional massage, Hawk Grips (muscle scraping/instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization), and dry needling applied continuing education courses.

Whether you’re recovering from surgery, navigating nagging chronic pain, or simply want to improve your strength and mobility, you’ll receive focused, individualized treatment every step of the way. No crowded clinics. No insurance-driven shortcuts. Just your goals, your pace, and expert support in a private, welcoming studio.

Why I Started Nurture Strength Physical Therapy

After years of working in traditional outpatient orthopedic clinic settings, I saw the need for a more connected, patient-centered approach to physical therapy. Too often, clients are shuffled between assistants or aides, rushed through appointments, and left without a clear plan or the attention they deserve.

At Nurture Strength PT, I’m changing that.
Every physical therapy follow-up session is 60 minutes of dedicated time with a Doctor of Physical Therapy — that’s me — so you can get hands-on care, ask questions, and leave feeling empowered and informed.

What Makes Nurture Strength PT Different

Helping You Move Forward — Together

I believe that movement is medicine — and that every person deserves care that respects their time, body, and goals. From athletes and active adults to retirees and those recovering from surgery, I help clients from all walks of life feel stronger, reduce pain, and regain confidence while returning to the activities that mean the most to them.

If you’re ready to take the next step towards recovery, I’d love to help.
